A bright red leaf
loosening itself in the wind
makes a leap of faith

Whistles!! ❤️❤️ This is oh so beautiful a haiku, Sumana 😀 I can almost picture that red leaf as it sways with the wind. Sigh, the season of Autumn no doubt teaches us a thing or two about change and faith. Beautifully executed. Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support ❤️❤️
Lots of love,
Sanaa
I love and admire such leaps of faith!
I just swooned. Yes, totally swooned. This is so beautiful, Sumana. I love the mood, the colors, and autumn vibes.
A good omen for us all.
Sweet!
Wow, so few words. So profound. A leap of faith sometime is so hard to do.
Poetic but Mamma tree has just cut off food supply to conserve energy for the winter. Think of the leaf falling as just getting rid of her makeup before Mamma goes to sleep. She does it beautifully though!
It was pushed!
Leap of faith..adds such depth to your haiku.
What an uplifting image and thought 🙂
Great contrast with the leaf and the jump of faith… yes if leaves can, so can we.
A leap of faith indeed!
i loved the idea, ‘a leap of faith’. 🙂
That last line is just perfect!
A leap of faith is a very big jump and a big ask! Lots to ponder in this haiku.
I am really excited every autumn. Can’t wait for the leaves to turn red. I love this haiku, Sumana
Beautiful!
Short, yet makes a lot of impact in what it has to say. 🙂
Loosening herself -a leap of faith…. Gorgeous
i totally have a mental picture of this in my head….love the colors and the idea of the leaf having enough faith to fly away.
O! And how can we know that faith is justified? From my perspective, the result is death. But to the leaf? Is it marvelous that it lived out its life and was ready to fall?
even in the last moments of death it uses the wind power to move on further, to another soil 🙂
What a lovely haiku – so delicate and evocative … and yet, such a powerful analogy.
lovely addition of mystery to the magical Sumana – this must resonate strongly with you
it is these small moments, wanton or not, that begin the day !
gracias for sharing this wisdom
So many ways to think of the leaves, released in fall; free, leap of faith, spent, etc.etc.
Wow 😀 Beautiful images
Wow, simply beautiful!
This is just a perfect little haiku. It has such a wonderful spirit perfectly conveyed in it’s brief space.
You have captured the essence of autumn in a handful of words! Lovely!
A lovely thought, well-expressed. Thanks!
A perfect haiku for autumn. In my yard I see the leaves falling and your words create that image. “a leap of faith”,, perhaps we all take one during this season of endings,,,
Perfect autumn photo and poem. I like your “leap of faith.”
