A bright red leaf

loosening itself in the wind

makes a leap of faith

  1. Whistles!! ❤️❤️ This is oh so beautiful a haiku, Sumana 😀 I can almost picture that red leaf as it sways with the wind. Sigh, the season of Autumn no doubt teaches us a thing or two about change and faith. Beautifully executed. Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support ❤️❤️

    Lots of love,
    Sanaa

  2. Poetic but Mamma tree has just cut off food supply to conserve energy for the winter. Think of the leaf falling as just getting rid of her makeup before Mamma goes to sleep. She does it beautifully though!

  3. O! And how can we know that faith is justified? From my perspective, the result is death. But to the leaf? Is it marvelous that it lived out its life and was ready to fall?

  4. A perfect haiku for autumn. In my yard I see the leaves falling and your words create that image. “a leap of faith”,, perhaps we all take one during this season of endings,,,

Thank You :)
