Sanctuary: A Cherita
I find a sanctuary in your smile-
that’s rose-soft with latitude
and rock hard too-
where I keep my nest of dreams-
my frail and brittle soul,
secure and safe.

A smile is indeed a great sanctuary A beautifully written poem
I think we all have thatone place where we feel right our own sanctuary where we keep our nest of dreams.
So beautiful and an outstanding piece.
How beautifully expressed! You do lovely things with this form.
Sublime !!!!
May you see that smile always, its strength and tenderness.
I love that rose soft smile
lovely poem, Sumana.
Smiles can ease one’s heart
I love the “sanctuary of your smile”…..and your “nest of dreams”. So beautiful!
One of many “best!”
“…my frail and bitter soul…”. Yes, it does feel like that at times. I love your using a friend as sanctuary.
There is no better sanctuary, I think!
So tender and beautiful
Beautiful …how blessed you are to have that !
Such a lovely thought. Beautifully written.
That’s lovely and sweet!
The smile gets to be so reassuring, Sumana! In many instances it does!
