sunbeams slither

through dark, deep, enchanted woods

making it darker

cicadas in thousands say

to keep off their elfin grot

  1. Ha. The last line made me chuckle.

    Sunlight slithers – I like how you inject movement there.
    The cicadas. Was in Baltimore for their invasion. They were smacking into skyscrapers, falling on people. Their bodies littering the sidewalks. It was rather surreal.

    Their music sounds so magical or something out of science fiction.
