a single
star in darkling sky
through the pane
peeps inside
to see how I wave a lamp
before the deities

This is lovely moment captured in your poem!!Thanks for sharing Sumana,.
NIce. I read pane as pain, with a double meaning.
In pain, we can retreat inside ourselves, which can be a dark place. I imagine the writer inside and in desperate prayer when the light of a single star pierces the darkness.
Lovely shadorma, Sumana. đ

I love the star peeping in and felt like I was peeking two. So sweet.
Wonderful! A delightful little piece, delicately sketched.
