The candle of
dark little wounds
and light little healings
I breathe you out.
The cierge of the New Year
will flame
new stories from tomorrow on
I look forward to that.

Wish you all a very Happy 2018!
beautiful poem about how we are looking forward to the new year
Ah, that ‘s a nice thought, Sumana, and a sweet and meaningful ritual to perform. Not one that I can emulate exactly this year, being away from home, but I’ll do it in thought, guided by your poem.
Sometimes a big dark wound only needs that first little healing light… beautiful thoughts Sumana. A very happy new year to you. May 2018 bring us peace and joy!
We will all be looking forward to that, Sumana. Happy New Year,
Let’s hope that cierge lights up our minds in the new year and helps create poetry for us all.
I look forward to new stories too. And hope one of them is the removal of the orange man from office.
I look forward to a peaceful new year too!😘 Beautifully penned, Sumana.
I love how you describe the healing… maybe a new year is just that sweet moment to contemplate how pains have been replaced with tender ache.
Simply and hopefully said.
And I’m looking forward with you. Love the imagery.
Happiest New Year!
yes, let’s look forward with hope to the new year.

Happy new year
Happy New Year Sumana.!
Beautiful! A simple image that says so much. Happy New Year!
I like that line “dark little wounds” so true! I look forward to it too, Sumana!
A new story would be quite a treat instead of the same-old-same-old. Except in love, where I prefer the old story getting better and more blessed with the years.
