New Year’s Eve

The candle of

dark little wounds

and light little healings

I breathe you out.

The cierge of the New Year

will flame

new stories from tomorrow on

I look forward to that.

  1. Ah, that ‘s a nice thought, Sumana, and a sweet and meaningful ritual to perform. Not one that I can emulate exactly this year, being away from home, but I’ll do it in thought, guided by your poem.

  2. A new story would be quite a treat instead of the same-old-same-old. Except in love, where I prefer the old story getting better and more blessed with the years.

Thank You :)
