I watch you flow and sing-
jagged rocks on your path
make you foam-
yet you sing on-
I’ll sink into you
for that red wild flower heart-

This sounds as though you are in love with river Sumana. I loved this poem as I can remember as a child longing to be a river discovering new places on the way to the sea.
Perfection gentle yet profound
River inspires us to reach our destination even with obstacles in it.A nice one.
This can represent so many different aspects of life and yes, we have to flow along and if its love, then its better!
Beautiful..
You remind us that rivers have personality.
sink but do not drown Sumana – for we would miss your red flower heart and you would miss the flow of words that come down to you
Another up and down ride! Love!
Yes, yes! Sometimes I just ride the surface, not so brave, except with God–but even then longing goes deeper than I.
There is so much to love about the flowing river. It really carries our thoughts as it foams and sings on its journey!
Absolutely! ❤ Love is like a river which has many unexpected twists and turns 😊 beautifully rendered.
love can certainly be liken to a river. 🙂
Love always makes the journey better. Happy you dropped by my sumi-e Sunday today Sumana
Much🎶💛🎶love
Sinking into someone is one of life’s greatest pleasures!
I especially love the red wild flower heart.
With such a heart life can be carried through darkness…
Oh, that sinking is both sensuous and spiritual, creating a dream-like sequence in which the action is the reward unto itself.
Beautiful writing, Sumana!

Interesting metaphor, for me. “Water, water, teach me the art of flowing”.
Sinking into that person, that river, that you love is the wonderful part of loving.
So joyous and sweet. It makes the reader want to jump in too.
So beautiful, makes me wish I lived near a river or lake.
Succinctly gorgeous! That final image of the red wild flower heart is so unexpected, yet so perfectly right.
Some stunning word-weaving in this stellar little piece that wows its way to that thunderclap of a finish.
I’d like to sink in too in that wonderful river of love. Yum!

Love the way the words flow as the river
Love…love…beautiful!
The red wild flower heart. I would like to know someone who had one of those.
