I am tearing up
this dark canvas
of a world
where I’ve been thrown
to become a still life-
I pray for
a turquoise sky
for my sanctuary
for new life, rebirth,
for my almond blossom
words
Posted for my prompt ~ Almond Blossoms by Vincent Van Gogh: An Ekphrastic Poem @ Poets United Midweek Motif
Yes. I feel this. Sharing.
Being a still life is a wonderful idea. A sane response to all the madness. LOVE the almond blossom words.
May those prayers be answered!
We all are, Sumana… Sigh. Beautiful.
A beautiful poetic sigh!
ah yes, to almond blossom words, yes indeed
much love…
I love the almond blossom blessings. I pray our lives find some stillness.
I can hear Vincent’s voice echoing in this poem, Sumana, his almond blossom words.
May your prayers be heard…may it be so…
So beautiful, Sumana! You have the words already.
Gorgeous! I too feel this one!
It is sad to realize that many gifted people were not recognised as such until after their death. Humanity is a perverse creature wasting its wisdom.
I, too, wish for such tenderness for the world… How beautiful you’ve put it.
aah so much contained in so few words!
Beauty is so important in a dark world reflected in our literature arts and architecture. Let us return to the turquoise sky and things of beauty
rebirth for my almond blossom words. Here they are these beautiful words. Love it
I like the almond blossom words.
