I
Monsoon blossoms
Have all lost their aroma
And songs
II
Since there is no rain
Poet sits with misty eyes
And fragrant memories

Don’t be sad Sanaa there will be more beauty to appreciate before long.
Oops! Sumana please forgive me!
What a gorgeously constructed poem
This is incredibly evocative, Sumana! ❤️ I can picture the Poet sitting with “misty eyes and fragrant memories.” Thank you so much for writing to the prompt 🙂
After the bloom and scent fades away. All we have is the memory. Beautiful.
I think we write best when we write about what is happening to us and our truths. For now, I sense your heart and mind are on drought and all the beauty and perfume that is going dry.
I feel the sadness, helplessness in this poem. May it rain soon.
This is beautiful in its simplicity.
Misty eyes and fragrant memories…..sigh. Beautiful, my friend.
“Poet sits with misty eyes
And fragrant memories”
Beautiful
Ah there is longing in that mood of nostalgia
Nice one Sumana
Much❤🕊❤love
The second one resonates deeply.. where is the rain? what happened to the monsoon? Terrible.
Yet somehow you conjure beauty all the same.
So gentle and wistful, Sumana!
Sometimes that’s what one can do; recall the past. Very nostalgic and beautiful, Sumana!
How excruciatingly painful when the rain did not make an appearance
Hank
Gorgeous!
The last one is relatable…beautifully done, Sumana.
I savor those fragrant memories. They are so special.
