You shine a brilliant light on the joys of literacy
Oh God I wish I had written that. Fabulous and positive.
Last 3 lines says it all! Well done.
Yes…literarcy is the key to life.
You bring the word alive! so much light can only lead to more Light. Sharing!
I love the metaphors in this poem, Sumana, with alphabets as food, letters as lamps and books as lighthouses!
And your words certainly have lit a path from me to you. A beautiful way to describe words..with such hope!
Oh Sumana, how exquisite this is! Each word a lamp, each book your lighthouse. Writing our way through the dark times keeps us alive, I think. We are fortunate we have that outlet, as so many dont.
So much hope in this poem. The last three lines says it all, so eloquently.
Books as lighthouses! May they shine forever!
How important it is to be beguiled by words whether by others but especially your own.
Super nice, Sumana. Your “Loving Room” must be bright, bright with so many lamps. And especially with the “Lighthouse”.
