Glass world
Hangs precariously
On time’s twig
In the sun, in rains, in snow-
We are aware-
Yet
We never miss
A dance-chance
With our aura of brokenness-

The phrase “time’s twig” will stick in my mind and turn up in a poem somewhere, methinks! Lovely wwrite.
“never miss
a dance-chance”
As long as we are alive, we must live! Beautiful!
The imagery and wisdom here are gorgeous Sumana! “Time’s twig” I love that! A beautiful write!
lots to like about your poem but glass world has so much resonance – literally and metaphorically
“Glass world Hangs precariously On time’s twig” – excellent.
Your poem gave me the goosebumps with the conclusion:
“We never miss
A dance-chance
With our aura of brokenness-“
Hoping our glass world does not shatter against your twig but some days I am terrified. Beautifully composed.
Beautiful, Sumana!
Oh, this is gorgeous. It feels like a mystery poem that starts off a long fairytale.
“On time’s twig”.
Love that!
“Our brokekness” stands out sharp and clear. Wether we are the time on the twig or the lenses in that glass world. We are wise never to take things for granted. A lesson we are living through right now.
Hsppy New Year Sumana. It is good to see your name on the linky. Had not seen you in a while.
Stay safe.
Thanks for dropping by to read mine
Much love…
this made me think of a single drop of water (perhaps melted ice or snow, or even rain as you so carefully set up) hanging from a tree branch in the moment before it falls, stretched out and suspended on “time’s twig”, great image, really enjoyed this
I like that word “dance-chance”. Not missing a dance-chance is good life advice I think
