Now I long
for all the beauty lost
from words and deeds-
I wish to knit peace
to wrap
this homeless, orphan,
careworn world-
the sun is sinking
and wintry night prowls about-
I bide my time
till ‘proud-pied April* arrives-

Don’t feel so sad about the winter season, even nature needs a rest now and then.I wish more people would personify the seasons and the world so they could relate with them instead of abusing them all the time.
Knit it, please! Warm up the coldest hearts and give them a new spring! And on a much smaller scale, keep warm and safe as the year renews.
“knitting peace” – a wonderful thought. Is there enough yarn in the world to cover all? I’m looking forward to April as well Sumana
We are on the same wavelength this morning. I long for all the beauty lost, too. And for hope.
and wintry night prowls about – that’s what I’ll have for some months to come. Can’t wait for the sun’s return.
The spring will be back and then sun’s warmth will be all around…………
Fine work & esp enjoyed the Bard closing!
Sumana,
We have both felt a similiar kind of longing, to see the end of cold winter and the return of the warmth of sunshine!!
This year is moving along and I am pleased:)
Longing is a balm for patience–it makes the waiting matter. Well done.
‘I wish to knit peace”
Perfect!
